Bass Player Michael Anthony fulfills Dream
Michael Anthony recently spent time with Brian Mammen – an 18-year-old cancer patient – to help fulfill the youth's dream of meeting and jamming with a member of Van Halen. Michael and Brian (along with a few friends) played "Panama," "You Really Got Me," and a few other tunes. Said Michael, "We hung out, jammed, and had a great time together. I would like to wish Brian and his family all the best. Brian is one brave and courageous person – you rock, Brian!". In a fundraising effort, a Yamaha BB bass autographed by Mike, Sammy Hagar & the Wabos was auctioned on Ebay in early June. The bass brought in over $5000 for Brian.
