{16035.jpgrIbanez, manufacturer of guitars, bass guitars and gear has introduced the new PD7 Phat Hed Overdrive. With the new PD7 Phat Hed overdrive bass players can achieve low growling distortion. Loaded with low-end and growling distortion, the PD 7 levels the playing field for the aspiring rock bassist. With the PD 7’s drive, Lo, Hi and level controls it is possible to get different sounding low bass distiortions, but that's not all. The PD 7 is armed with three preamp voicings, and an attack control switch, which increases the amount of harmonic content in your sound.
Drive, Lo, Hi & Level Knobs The Drive control regulates the amount of overdrive being added to the clean signal. Lo and Hi knobs control the bass and treble amount and the level knob controls the overall volume.
Three Different Preamp Voicings
The PD7 Phat Hed Overdrive features three Different Preamp Voicings: Clean, Overdrive and Distortion which provide you with three distinct voicings without losing bottom end. The Clean position delivers a tight and punchy tone without distortion. The overdirve has a slight amount of distortion, as used in classic heavy rock bands such as a{Black Sabbath}. The Distortion control provides much more saturation.
Attack Switch
Another special feature of the PD7 Phat Hed Overdrive is the Attack Switch which Accents the right harmonics to ensure the bass tone stands out in a track. In the second position, the attack switch can simulate the bass tone made famous by Fieldy from a{Korn}.
